A message in a bottle,

Songs, the huge messages you can pack into such small things. You could be encouraging or not, it's a choice then writer must make. But the messages can always be interpreted wrongly, as you should have guessed by now Coldplay is my favorite band. And some of their songs pack a very good message, (depending on how you interpret it!) their song: : Lovers In Japan, (One of my favorite songs.) Starts like this: "Lovers keep on the road you're on, Runners run till the race is run, Soldiers you've got to soldier on." How did I look at that? I saw it like this: The first part saying "Lovers keep on the road you're on." Could be saying: "Christians keep on that straight and narrow path you're on. That's our road." The second part that said: "Runners run till the race is run." Might have been talking about the race of life, I think it was Paul who said that life was a race. Now when they say a race they aren't saying: "Run through life without stopping to plant seeds or smell the roses." It's saying: "Do you're best! If you were running a race you would try to get first, so try to do the best you can for God!" The last part: "Soldiers you've got to soldier on." That could be saying: "Soldiers in the army of God, yes you will face hard times and trails but God is with you. You can handle it with his help, so soldier on!" After that the song says: "Sometimes, even the right is wrong." I have heard and learned this lesson far to many times, it's saying that: "Yes, you may be right. But how you presented your case or facts was wrong, we are to be kind to one another. So let's speak like it, let's show people we are Christians and we aren't ashamed of it!" I have a extremely hard time with the last one: Being kind, and talking in a respectful tone. But Romans 3:23 says: "For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." But that doesn't mean you should stop trying, if you fall while running a race you are going to get up and run. If you are on a trip going somewhere and you take wrong turn, you will turn around and try to get back on track ASAP. So that's how we should be with life, like Christ.
