Sin, a way to look at it!

So, sin? Old subject yet new references. I have heard several different ways to describe sin, thought of one today. More than likely you have heard of or seen the Lord of The Rings movies. If so then you have seen or heard of the Character Gollum. If you have seen it and you're a guy then you have tried to cough out his name just like him. Don't deny it, I have attempted it also. In the Bible becoming a Christian is referred Putting off the old man. I have heard it said that the old guy comes and tempts you every time sin comes along, planning to attack you and whatever it takes. In the movies Gollum is always planning something, and then there's Sam. He represents a really good friend, he can see where you are keeping the "Gollum" in your life. He encourages you through thick and thin, and chances are because of "Gollum" you will hurt Your "Sam" and send the friend away. And yet that person being a good friend will still help you, forgive and forget. How many friends like Sam do you have? And how many times have you sent him/her away?

Jack,
